*Saturn South Node Moon October 2007

Saturn slips ito the South Node of destiny, restriction, obsession, karma, release from captivity to freedom or change. This is a big deal. A major aspect.
Any type of aspect to the nodes are major aspects.

The Moon travels around the Earth. Earth travels around the Sun in her annual orb.
The nodes fall at the interception of these two orbit lines. Basically, the Lunar nodes are two points in the Moon's orbit around the Earth which intercept the Earth's path around the sun.
They mark the intersection points of the Moon's orbit around the Earth. One when the Moon is passing south to north, and the other when Moon is passing north to south.

Saturn entering the South Node finishes up Saturn's time in Leo. Saturn moves now to bath and immerse himself in the energy of Virgo. Saturn prepares for his journey through this the sign of apprenticeship, service, health, and body. With Saturn's placement in Virgo, he becomes ruled by the planet Mercury. Mercury is retrograde in Scorpio. The energy makes everything old as new again. Everything evolves. Nothing changes. We continue the spiral of life with another layer, another level as we learn about our path, place and journey. All this in the world of form, Saturn's provice, where what he says goes.

Saturn transits to the Nodes portend profound change, an ending and beginning or some other type of serious transition of something important in our lives into a brand new form. This is the classice metomorphasis of puppa into butterfly. There is no turning back. Saturn conjunct South Node says NOW, it is time for your new life. Your new life brings you growth, wings to fly, and makes the world bigger for you. Note that having the wings does not mean you suddenly become an instant aviator. One must learn how to fly. The world has become larger for you, yes, but how to enter it and traverse when you know as much about flying as any puppa? Puppa time is over. Saturn meeting the South Node points to that karmic phase of the story of your life that is finishing up. Finishing up this week. Now that is a serious transit.

Your karmic stories are the ones that test your spirit, test your soul, haul and push you to evolve, make you shout at the heavens, howl at the moon, cry to yourself. Your karmic stories are the ones that make your spirit bright, expand your mind, soar your soul, guide your steps on the path of life, bring you laughter and joy, grace and gratitude for your life.
Not to self on Karma: When the heavens chart show a karmic event, look out and be aware. There will always be an intense personal and important happening in your life.

Look and see, what does your karmic story of yours shift to this momentous week?
Where natal Saturn is shows the story. On some level, your old story has reached culmination. With Saturn entering Virgo, look to that house, your Virgo house will show you where karma is shifting.

My Virgo house is the ninth. This is the house of higher education, advanced training, spiritul and philosophical activities, cultural pursuits. My first degree initiation is scheduled for this weekend in perfect alignment with these energies. For me, this is where my life story is shifting.

The life story that is shifting originated in 3rd House Pisces. The third house is the house of communication. It is associated with writing, news, communication and speech, and learning to deal with the world. It rules the instrumentalities of thought, your tools for thinking and one's thought patterns in general, one's mental state, intellectual orientation, self-expression and communication, mechanical dexterity and skills, physical actions, and immediate environment.
Pisces in the third house bring the gift of soothing, inspirational speech that fascinates and inspires listeners. While communicating, one can become overly emotional and experience some problems articulating ideas. It is best to be alone to perform mental work as solitude brings creativity and imagination to thought and writing.

This third house Pisces Saturn is what the story is about. Whatever the karma was for the story, the chapter is finished and resolved. Your karma is moving onto another level, to 9th House Virgo. This karma will be moving either up or down, reap or sow, elevate to a new level or it will be a repeat with remedial Saturn lessons. What happens next is all up to and up to Saturn too. I'ts between you and Saturn to determine which way your life story will be going.

If you have been doing your Saturn work, working hard on what you're here for, what you're here to do, then Saturn will move you forward to the next level. If you haven't been doing your Saturn work, and avoiding taking personal responsibility for what you need to deal with, Saturn will chasten you with a reminder. This is a reality check by the Saturn.
Accountability, detailed accountability, is where it is at with Saturn in Virgo ruled by retrograde Mercury in Scorpio. Look at your life and be honest with yourself by applying critical analytical skills, Virgo style. Personal Integrity. Honesty. If you are at fault, take those steps to fix what needs fixing.

The Karmic path guiding your life starts shifting to a new modality with Saturn taking to the South Node on his mutable journey of change from the 2007 season of summer into the 2007 season of fall, symbolized by Virgo's changeable nature. Saturn will take a look at you and determine if you've learned what you needed to learn to take your life to the next phase.

Be on the lookout for events leading up to Saturn diving into the South Node this week and last week to see what your story reveals. Check yourself. Does you karmic situation feel resolved? It is! You should have occuring now a very momentous happy conclusion. The next phase begins now.

Saturn at the South Node occurs rarely and is a big moment in time and in our lives. It is a pivotal point. The stern ringed end of the visible solar system, my friend Saturn, says it is done! A karmic cycle is finished. Saturn announces it is time to move on to a new chapter.
On the world front, the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to US Al Gore and the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The announcement capped a year of awards for the former VP, a green champion. It also spurred a larger debate over how the committee defines peace. The prize signals that peace issues are moving into new terrain, as Earth's climate change increasingly begets political violence over diminishing land resources.

My natal Saturn placement by house tells the story as does my 1st and 2nd Houses, ruled by Capricorn and Aquarius. 1st House of self and 2nd house of what I value, 3rd house of personal communication and thought process is the life story. 9th house at 5 Virgo, where the Soute Node dip is taking place is the area of life experiencing the karmic shift, my house of spirituality. Since I am a Capricorn, I fully expect a major change in life.
